Soil mapping has been a utilized methodology for understanding variability at field level for over 20 years, mainly through use of active EC/EM sensors. SoilOptix® technology is based around the measurement of gamma radiation, naturally emitted from the soil itself. A non-contact, passive sensor which provides a spectrum of 4 separate isotopes, provides the ability to model and predict independent soil nutrient and texture properties based upon physical soil samples as a means to calibrate the readings. This webinar will look to introduce the technology and explain it’s core differences between historical mapping technologies and potential use cases.

Have you ever wondered when you send soil or plant tissue to a lab, what practices those laboratories employ to make sure that the results you receive are accurate and repeatable? Corey Lacey and Bob Miller spend happy hour with us just to talk about this and their involvement with the organization ALTA (Agricultural Laboratory Testing Association) and how this organization does just that; providing certification to ensure agriculture testing laboratories are in fact, testing their ability to continuously provide high quality data back to their customers.
